Lawrence Beer and John Maki, FROM IMPERIAL MYTH TO DEMOCRACY: JAPAN'S TWO CONSTITUTIONS, 1889-2002, (University Press of Colorado, 2002). The book discusses the modern historical context and current status of Japan's constitutional law. Designated as a 2003 "Outstanding Academic Title" by CHOICE MAGAZINE (Assn. of College and Research Libraries).
